Since it was the 4th of July and I was looking for something fun, my pal and I decided to take on kayaking at Alamitos Bay as a last minute activity for the day.
Superbly nice weather to go kayaking – cool ocean breeze in sunny weather. I picked the blue one. These are the malibu kayaks.
Kayaking into the Alamitos Canal – or the “Little Italy”. What I didn’t know is how “friendly” the locals are – friendly as endless water wars with balloons and water guns left and right through out two hours…. moderately annoyingly entertaining.
After kayaking through the canals, we kayaked to find us the famous jellyfishes in the bay.
We didn’t see any jellyfish but saw ducks instead… the only wild lives we saw that day… yappi.
And look at what I picked up along the way – later on, another boat passed by and sprayed me with their waterguns and I threw the balloons back at them.
Huh, after a quick two hours and an est. 5-6 miles of kayaking, we kayaked back to the launch point and called it a nice short kayaking outing.
